NanoGenerator® is a high-performance nanoparticle synthesis system for formulation and preparation of nanoparticles, including lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), liposomes, PLGA, etc. NanoGenerator produces nanoparticles with improved size uniformity and lower polydispersity index (PDI). It offers scalable production, ranging from ultra-low volumes of 0.1 mL for early-stage screening to large-scale batch production of hundreds of liters, enabling seamless, continuous GMP-compliant manufacturing.
Nanoparticles, especially lipid nanoparticles, have shown great potential for several biomedical applications, including drug delivery, mRNA vaccines, and biosensing. Lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, and PLGA nanoparticles are the most commonly used biodegradable materials for the delivery of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. All these types can be synthesized using the NanoGenerator platform.
Principle of Particle Synthesis
The NanoGenerator platform employs microfluidic devices for controllable and tunable nanoparticle production.

The schematic above illustrates a microfluidic channel with micro-mixing structures for nanoparticle synthesis. The system leverages precise manipulation of fluids (aqueous phase and solvent phase) at the microscale, achieving fast, controlled, and highly efficient mixing.
