This Cy5-labeled saCas9 mRNA encodes a wild-type Staphylococcus aureus Cas9 (saCas9) enzymatic protein and carries a Cy5 fluorescent label (Ex: 650 nm / Em: 670 nm) for visualizing mRNA uptake, distribution, and stability during transfection.
Used together with a purified guide RNA (gRNA), this mRNA directs site-specific recognition and cleavage of target genomic DNA for CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing in cells.
